Green-tech is delighted to announce that they have smashed their target to raise £1000 for chosen recipient Physcap, a charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for children suffering from severe physical and mental disabilities.

Established in 1970, Physcap is a Yorkshire based charity that is run completely by volunteers. The charity is dedicated to improving the quality of life for children suffering from severe physical and mental disabilities and is the last resort for families who may have limited funds to buy specialist or therapeutic equipment for their children to help make their lives a little easier.

Through a host of activities that mainly involve the Green-tech team eating they raised a staggering £1563.95 for the charity.

Green-tech donated 10p for every catalogue distributed over the 12 month period and their generous customers and suppliers got involved too by contributing to a raffle that was held at their recent open day. The staff were the main contributors to the grand charity total by holding a number of eating fests which included a Yorkshire Day lunch and raffle, a charity Christmas lunch which included turkey dinner and all the trimmings plus a donation for every Christmas jumper worn on the day. A Halloween day, raising money through fancy dress and spooky cakes and biscuits, a super jumbo sausage lunch and name the Easter bunny competition.

Managing Director Rachel Kay, said,

“We have a different charity every year, chosen by a member of staff. I am really thrilled that we have been able to help such a great charity. The Green-tech team are very generous, especially if food is involved, and always get behind our chosen charity but this year we have done ourselves proud. Our 2017/18 chosen charity is Epilepsy Action which improves the lives of everyone affected by epilepsy. As well as campaigning to improve epilepsy services, they offer assistance in a number of different ways to include a national network of branches, epilepsy awareness volunteers, Freephone and email helplines.”
