The Tubex Nature™ Easywrap Shelter is a biodegradable twin-walled wrap with a vertical split that expands as the plant grows, designed for hard-to-reach areas where collection isn’t possible.
Easywraps are a low-cost alternative to spirals. The vertical slit of our wraps creates a natural overlap that allows the wrap to grow with the tree and is easier to install than spirals, while the twin-wall construction offers improved growing conditions. Ideal for helping establish vines, trees and hedges where the lateral growth of branches is important.
The Tubex Nature™ Easywrap Shelter offers a twin walled tree guard, with a vertical split which produces a natural overlap, designed for plants where lateral growth is important low down. As the tree grows and becomes girthy enough, the Tubex Nature™ Easywrap Shelter expands and opens up, allowing the branches to grow sidewards. Tubex Nature™ Easywrap Tree Shelter Guard is normally supported by a cane, however the Tubex Nature™ Easywrap is stronger than spirals, and will withstand high winds more easily. Tubex Nature™ Easywrap also retains moisture and heat around the plan, ensuring better survival rates. The Tubex Nature Easywrap also protects the plant from animals, such as voles, rabbits and hares, as well as herbicides. Canes & stakes sold separately.
Tubex Nature™ Easywrap Shelter Product Benefits
Expands as tree grows
- Ideal for plants where lateral growth of branches is important. The vertical slit offers a natural overlap for easier installation than spirals.
Improved microclimate & stability
- Our twin-walled wraps provide an improved microclimate compared to single-wall spirals, leading to improved growth and survival rates. The durable twin-wall construction offers the best possible strength-to-weight ratio, offering more ridigity and stability than spirals.
Biodegradable in situ
- Tubex Nature™ is made from bio-based materials derived from sugarcane, corn & starch. It is externally tested against ISO 17556 to show soil biodegradability, and independently tested to show biodegradation on soil at ambient temperatures.
- Tubex Nature products can be left to biodegrade in situ and will, over time, start to degrade and breakdown into water and CO2 through a microbiological process.
Non-toxic
- Externally tested against OECD 207 & 208
Proven performance
- Robust twin-walled construction tested to perform with an expected 3-5 years service life, offering an improved microclimate, and protection against small animals, herbicides and mechanical operations.

The Tubex Nature™ Easywrap Shelter displays all the same characteristics of traditional Tubex Easywrap Shelters, protecting against rabbits, hares and spray drift from herbicides. The expected lifespan of the Tubex Nature™ Easywrap Shelter is 5 years in-situ, dependant on climatic conditions and location of planting. It is recommended at the end of its lifespan the shelter is removed and industrially composted.
Tubex Nature™ Easywrap Shelter will over time start to degrade and breakdown into water and CO2 by a process of microbiology, rate and time period of bio-degradation depending on soil and climatic conditions. Mulching or burying Tubex Nature at its end of life will significantly increase the rate of this process.
