What is your favourite thing about working at Green-tech and how long have you worked here?
I’ve been here 12 and a half years. My favourite thing... the food! We do a lot of office food events for our chosen charity.
What made you want to work in the landscaping industry?
I fell into it by mistake, in my early 20’s I returned from some travelling and needed a job. I started temping at a nursery and have been in the industry since.
What is your favourite memory at Green-tech?
There have been quite a few over the last 12 years. The frozen chicken surprise, a bizarre night out in Kettering, but I do like the trade shows, there is always something interesting going on.
Where would you say is a dream holiday destination for you?
Gulf coast of Florida, it’s got everything.
Who is your role model or inspiration?
My family, you can learn so much from the people around you. David Attenborough...
What is your favourite landscaping show or event that you have attended?
I really like the APF show…..big machines in the woods.
How do you like to spend your free time?
I like to travel……it’s a big world! I'd like to see as much as possible.
Name 3 dream dinner guests?
Ozzy Osbourne, Billy Connolly and Margot Robbie.
If you were stuck on a desert island what 3 objects would you take with you?
Phone, my dog...and a boat to escape.
Which do you prefer - rural or urban landscapes?
Rural - let’s plant as many trees as possible. I understand the need to green our cities, but you can plant hundreds of trees in a field for the price of one tree on a high street.
What is your favourite project that Green-tech have been involved in?
Any of the big tree planting schemes - The Heart of England Forest always stands out.
