BALI’s Choose It. Move It. Plant It. Green-tech declares it a ‘tree-mendous’ event

Green-tech was proud to attend and speak at an event organised by the British Association of Landscape Industries Yorkshire & Northeast region.

The event: Choose It. Move It. Plant It, was held in Mirfield, West Yorkshire yesterday afternoon (29th September 2021)

The masterclass focused on choosing, moving, and planting specimen trees, was sponsored by Van den Berk Nurseries in association with Gavin Jones. It provided a new learning experience and networking opportunity for BALI members.

Green-tech had a trade stand at the event and their Product Specification Manager Richard Wexham commentated on the live installation by Gavin Jones. Richard gave an overview and explanation of the tree anchor installation and irrigation installation.

Several members of the Green-tech team attended, including Sales Director Richard Gill. He comments,

“A brilliant event. Really worthwhile and well organised. It was interesting and a great networking opportunity. Its been a long time since we were all face-to-face and the format worked really well. Great to see Van den Berk’s band new outdoor tree ‘showroom’, a significant investment in the future. I always enjoy listening to Soil expert, Tim O’hare who presented to us, as well as the live tree installation overview by our own Richard Wexham. We thoroughly enjoyed the day and look forward to the next one!”

Association members enjoyed a walk around Van den Berk’s new outdoor tree ‘showroom’ and were advised what to look out for when selecting specimen trees. They enjoyed a practical live demonstration about offloading, handling and planting large specimens that will deliver an instant impact.

Green-tech has a full exhibition and event calendar to the end of the year, their next show is Amenity Forum on 21st October, which promotes best practice in all aspects of weed, pest and disease management in the sector.
