What is your favourite thing about working at Green-tech and how long have you worked here?

I’ve been here just under 6 months after working in the hospitality industry for about 8 years. The team I work with are amazing. I also love the calm yet productive approach the company takes to conducting business, especially after the chaotic world of hospitality!

What made you want to work in the landscaping industry?

I’ve always had an interest in construction and architecture, I also love the great outdoors. A move into the landscaping industry seemed like a natural one for me!

What is your favourite memory at Green-tech?

Our staff night out in Harrogate. A curry, then a few drinks afterwards at a local bar. I really got to know the team I work with that night and had a right laugh! I look forward to many more.

Where would you say is a dream holiday destination for you?

I’d say somewhere on the Italian Riviera, the food, weather, and scenery can’t be beat! I’d also like to do a Bourbon tour of Kentucky.

Who is your role model or inspiration?

Middlesbrough born, former Nottingham Forest and Derby Manager, Brian Clough. A Fellow Smoggy, with a no-nonsense attitude to getting things done.

What is your favourite landscaping show or event that you have attended?

As I haven’t been here very long, I haven’t had chance to attend one yet. I look forward to getting out there in the future, however.

How do you like to spend your free time?

I spend a lot of time watching movies and documentaries, exploring old buildings, and following the mighty Boro!

Name 3 dream dinner guests?

Elton John, Billy Connolly and Miriam Margolyes. I can’t even begin to imagine the laughs.

If you were stuck on a desert island what 3 objects would you take with you?

Something to watch movies on, something to connect it to the internet, and a shipping container of IRN BRU.

Which do you prefer- Rural or urban landscapes?

As a massive history buff, architecture and how it interacts with the natural world has always fascinated me. Definitely Urban.

What is your favourite project that Green-tech have been involved in?

I didn’t have the biggest involvement, but supplying compost to a regeneration project of Victorian Streets in my hometown.

Who is the funniest person at Green-tech?

Seb is good for a laugh, also Roger AK’s jokes are something else!
