In November 2011 the first UK installation of the ArborRaft Urban tree planting system took place in Southwark, London where 14 trees planted by landscape contractor FM Conway. Green-tech supplied Green-tree topsoil which was used alongside the ArborRaft system to give the trees the best possible chance to survive and thrive. We also supplied 28 Mona Relief vente Irrigation inlets which provided a contemporary finish.

Green-tech has announced that their Green-tree roof garden substrate was used in the award-winning scheme installed by Palmer Landscapes. Leodis Square, Sweet Street, Leeds is a city centre development project, comprising four apartment blocks of up to 12 storeys high. The development is also home to two podium gardens; situated on the roofs of the on-site car parking, which form the courtyards for the apartment

Landscape Contractors Brambledown Landscapes Services were commissioned to undertake the soft landscaping of this huge project which had to tie in with the natural environment of the nearby Skelton Lake and Gardens. They turned to their long-term supplier Green-tech for the landscaping materials and sundries.

The current climate is a very uncertain time for many, it is difficult to keep yourself busy and your mind occupied whilst staying at home, however, the perfect way to do this is through gardening.

Works in Bristo Square included tree planting, creation of more social spaces and improved accessibility. It was designed to give a light, open space, with tiered seating steps around the central events area. Bordering this paved pedestrian area are ten semi-mature trees set in hard landscaping. These trees help to soften the cityscape and provide much needed shade during the summer months.

Tottle Brook is a small watercourse which flows in a south west to north east direction in Highfields Park, Nottingham. The project’s goals were to enhance the biodiversity value of the Brook by creating a new wetland habitat and improve the form (shape) of the watercourse.

York City Council are in the process of regenerating parts of the Shambles in Roman city York - Whip-Ma-Whop-Ma gate, Walmgate and Fossgate. Leading landscape supplier Green-tech has been called in to help Newbrook Gardening Services with the planting of two established trees in an urban setting. Salford Council commissioned a new traffic island on Cromwell Road in Salford; which was designed to stop vehicle access.

Queens Walk, a development of 284 student flats in Reading has utilised the Mona Plant System within its new courtyard area, an all- year-round social space for its residents.

Eternal Lawns, a professional artificial grass installation company based in Morley, were hired by a property developer to install a York-stone patio and artificial grass. The large garden needed to be separated into three, one for each of the apartments. Eternal Lawns recommended the use of 20 one metre high ivy gt green screens from Green-tech to divide the gardens in Harrogate, and give it instant impact and privacy.

A project worth £318 million to upgrade the A1 through north Yorkshire has been a logistical triumph and a long waited high quality improvement to the Northern motorway network. Green-tech was ecstatic to be selected as a supplier to the project, working in partnership with Ashlea Landscape Contractors to plant a mixture of trees and shrubs along the embankments and trunk roads of the A1 between Dishforth and Leeming.

The redevelopment includes a large 150,000 ft2 Tesco extra superstore with a new basement car park providing over 700 underground car parking spaces. Orchard Groundcare Ltd who are a specialist national Solar Park landscape contractor has been responsible for the seeding and planting at one of Britain’s biggest solar farms. They won the contract to manage the landscaping and maintenance of the site which is located in South East England and is capable of powering the whole of Herne Bay. The huge solar farm is set over eight fields which cover a total of 213 acres.

The recent redevelopment of Tollgate Retail Park is a massive boost for the local area, revamping a retail area that required more parking and better walkways and access between retail units. As part of the improvements to the external landscaping and car parking area, 12 tree pits were installed incorporating the Mona Plant System.

The new ITV Media City based in Salford is now the home of the nation’s favourite TV programme – Coronation Street. A major part of the Coronation Street move was the introduction of a tree onto the street, as the uprooting of the existing tree was considered highly impractical. The tree required planting in a specific restricted area and gtSpecifier was called upon to assist with drawing up the plans and visiting the site to prepare the tree pit.

Ocean Road is part of the South Shields town centre redevelopment programme. The improvements to Ocean Road will provide a more attractive and pleasant pedestrian route which draws visitors to and from the Foreshore. Green-tech was approached by South Tyneside Council to develop a hard landscaping solution for the Ocean Road development.

After four years hard work, developing a rundown farmhouse and field into Little Lion Gardens, owner Robert Furness thought it was time to improve and stabilise their parking area for the increasing numbers of visitors to the gardens. Green-tech was asked to look at a number of ground reinforcement solutions with GRB Plus being favoured due to its practicality and ease of installation.

Haley and Judit bought a house in Witham, Essex without a fence or hedge boundary between their property and the neighbouring farmer’s field. They also had a lot of rubble to dispose of after knocking down walls and sheds to build a drive. They needed to install a boundary and organise costly rubbish disposal on a very tight budget.
